A plate of sweet pineapple chunks and sauce drizzled over lean pork, with roasted red bell pepper topped with tuna mayonnaise spread and roasted broccoli as side dishes.

Following the last high-protein, low-carb meal post featuring salmon, tofu and broccoli, in this post, we introduce two more food options with high protein content: lean pork and tuna spread.

I came across this Easy Pineapple Pork Chops Recipe from The Endless Meal and was intrigued by the taste of pineapple sauce drizzling over pork chops. The recipe seems easy enough for me to handle, and the description of "deliciously sweet and caramelised pineapple smothered over tender, juicy pork chops" piqued my interest. In no time, I added this to my list of "meals to cook while working from home".

Pork, like most animal foods, is an excellent source of high-quality protein. Apart from that, pork is also a good source of vitamins and minerals like phosphorus, selenium, and thiamine. However, pork can also be high in sodium and saturated fat - two things that should be avoided as part of a healthy diet. Having said that, you can always opt for leaner cut of the pork so that it has lower fat content and higher protein content. Simply put, as with most things, lean pork eaten in moderation can provide plenty of health benefits for you.

As for the Red Bell Pepper with Tuna Spread side dish, I was inspired by these Keto Tuna Melt Poppers from Stylish Cravings, except that I decided to try it without the cheese. Just plain tuna mayonnaise spread is enough for me - I mentioned in the Chicken Club Sandwich and Strawberry Honey Salad post that it is my guilty pleasure - you simply can't go wrong with it.

All in all, it was a pretty wholesome meal that left me feeling satisfied and healthy. Plus, the traffic light colour theme in this meal made it look quite appetising!
